- Jason L. Martin
President & Director
Jason L. Martin is a Director within the Secure DNA Consulting practice. He has over eleven years of experience in Information Technology (IT) security, IT Audit, IT control assessment and reengineering, and business continuity planning. He has specialized experience in application penetration testing, network security design, and re-engineering enterprise security programs and has designed and managed several high-availability distributed networks. Mr. Martin has extensive experience in IT General Control (ITGC) Audit having serviced co-sourced and sole sourced Internal audit clients and supervising the delivery of year one, two, three, four, and five SOX 404 ITGC attestation work for public companies in Hawaii and the US Mainland. He has managed and delivered more than 20,000 hours of SOX 404 IT related work and sat in leadership and advisory positions in Information Governance and Security Roles at several large companies. Prior to joining Secure DNA Consulting, Mr. Martin led KPMG´s Information Risk Management Group in Hawaii and was part of the leadership team for KPMG´s national Information Security Services group. Prior to joining KPMG he provided system design, security, optimization, and management services for a variety of healthcare clients.
Jason was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii where he received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from the University of Hawaii. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). He is a member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2, and of Hawaii´s chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) where he serves as the Membership Director and is the past Vice President. He is one of the founders and coordinators of Shakacon, Hawaii´s largest information security conference.
- Ernest T. Shiraki, Jr.
COO & Director
Ernie Shiraki, Jr. is a Director within the Secure DNA Consulting practice. He has over nine years of experience in Information Technology (IT) Audit, IT control assessment and reengineering and business continuity planning. He is proficient in performing audits of internal controls, system reviews, business process analysis, business impact analysis, SAS 70, SysTrust and financial and compliance audit services. Mr. Shiraki also possesses a strong understanding of the financial, educational, entertainment, insurance and healthcare industries and is certified as an Information Systems Auditor by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association. Ernie was born and raised in Honolulu however he began his career in Los Angeles where he joined KPMG’s Information Risk Management practice after graduating from Loyola Marymount University. Ernie has a Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Information Technology. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) as certified by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and sits on the board of the local ISACA Hawaii chapter.
